Full title reads: “Chicago. American Legion on parade. 120,000 veterans march to open Convention and support President Roosevelt’s call for ’National unity in this period of reconstruction - a period not less urgent than in time of war’.“ Chicago, Illinois, United States of America (USA). Large parade of marching bands through Chicago streets. Veterans in uniforms and in civvies march between bands. A float decorated like a WW1 trench passes by. Men dressed as soldiers fire rifles as they sit on float. On the rear of this float is a sign which reads: “Lest We Forget“. Another float decorated as a steam engine passes.
