Hate Dept. - Amanda Jones by Ivan K. Drum “Cover“

This is a drum play through the Amanda Jones track from Hate Dept.’s New Ghost. There are no triggers or sound replacement used, just eq and compression applied. Drums are Dw Collectors maple 24x20, 12x9, 14x12, 16x14, Ludwig Supraphonic LM402 from the 70s with S hoops and Canopus wires. Cymbals are - Paiste 14“ traditional light hi-hats, 19“ Dark Energy crash, 24“ Giant beat ride and a 21“ Ufip Class series light crash. I use all remo coated emperors on top and coated ambassadors on the resonant side. P3 coated on the kick batter, fiberskyn ambassador with a kick port on the resonant side. my side snare is muffled with gaff tape and is a Gene Krupa model from slingerland. Mics I used for this session - hell Pr31bw - snare top, Shure sm7b - side snare, Heil PR40 - kick port, Solomon 6.5 sub kick mic, Sennheiser MD421’s for the toms, a Spaced, very unmatched pair of oktava mk12’s for overheads. a matched pair of cascade fat head II ribbon miss with lundahl transformers. All of that was plugged into 2x Vintech 273 channels, Universal Audio 4710D and UA Apollo. Audio processed using pro tools 11 and mostly UAD plugins. Video recorded via goPro and a canon t3i dslr.
