Mikfik Creek, McNeil River State Game Sanctuary, June 2018 – Mikfik Creek was packed with a pulse of red salmon starting to move upstream. The big bears had not yet arrived so this sub-adult brown bear had, for the moment, the creek to itself. Sometimes the abundance of fish seemed almost too much to handle.
