Bold Trease - The Warrnambool Warrior

Norm McCullagh’s fawn superstar won an amazing four consecutive RSN Sandown Cups, a feat that was not only unprecedented, but never likely to be repeated again -- in any race. The ’Warrnambool Warrior’ was a crowd favourite due to his spectacular drop-out-and-run-on style of racing, and was named the 1987 Victorian Greyhound of the Year and Greyhound of the Decade (1980-1990), and sits in both Greyhound Racing Victoria and Australian Greyhound Racing Association Hall of Fame. So highly is Bold Trease regarded by the club that it named the Group 1 staying race on Melbourne Cup night in his honour.
