Chess Basics #34: Piece vs. pawns endings - The bishop

Continuing to look at simple endings with a piece battling against pawns, I examine the curious powers of the bishop. The bishop has the strange property that it is better at stopping connected pawns than at separated pawns, which is the opposite of the case for the rook.
