Wrestling Clinic with Olympian Erica Wiebe

Canadian freestyle wrestler Erica Wiebe, a gold medalist from the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, held a two-day wrestling clinic in Weyburn at St. Michael School, with wrestlers on hand from many clubs around Saskatchewan, along with members of the U of R Huskies wrestling team. She held sessions on Saturday and Sunday, going over many techniques and styles where wrestlers could improve on their skills. On Friday, she visited a number of schools to share her story about becoming an Olympic athlete and demonstrated some basic wrestling moves, and then she held a free clinic on Saturday morning for young children who might have an interest in taking up wrestling.
