This is a Motorola Timeport P1088 industrial prototype, made 1997-1999 and then never seen again after the project folded. It’s a very very early smartphone, with a UI in Java running on Tao System’s Elate operating system on a 11MHz ARM. The iPhone came out nearly ten years later. This even predates the famous Nokia Communicator (Symbian edition).
I remember it as being fast and snappy, which this certainly isn’t --- either my memory is faulty or this is a debug build.
