Opens with a little weird procession; in which 2 men carry a bass drum; and another walks with a snare; followed by 4 more black soldiers pulling along a platform on wheels on which several white officers are standing or sitting on chairs — nice little scene redolent of racism. CU African-American soldiers running to and climbing over a tall fence; pulling themselves up and flipping over. Shot of the coloured doughboys posing; a row seated and others standing behind them. Soldier standing amidst some large pipes lying on the ground.; Suddenly in BG a bunch of guys come running up a slanted structure; jump off and nearly dive into these cylinders; meanwhile 3 black officers (?) watch with excitement.
