Yuri Bryushkov plays Chopin ballade, etude, mazurka, waltz, nocturne
Yuri Bryushkov (1903-1971) studied with Karl Kipp and Konstantin Igumnov. He taught at the Leningrad Conservatory throughout the 1950s and 1960s and made just a few recordings. Aside from this rare LP rip--made towards the end of his life, possibly in 1971--there is an earlier recording of four Chopin preludes, an album of Glinka, and two Chopin waltzes from 1938 which I’ve uploaded. The first picture is Bryushkov at the piano; the second is him playing in Mayakovsky Square on Victory Day, 9 May 1945. More info here –
