Estenosis Aortica - Toxic Megacolon (2020 - GORENOISE)

Trx Session: The most common cause of this pathology is severe or fulminant ulcerative colitis, although it can also appear in outbreaks of Crohn’s disease. Other rarer causes of toxic megacolon are: cytomegalovirus infection, salmonellosis, cryptosporidiosis, ischemic colitis, or Clostridium difficile infection. The macroscopic appearance shows a distended colon, with a thin and fragile wall, with ulcerated and serous mucosa covered with fibrinopurulent exudate. Microscopically, a transmural inflammatory infiltrate is recognized. All Surgery Noises & Regurgitated Vomits by Javert Nihil Buenos Aires, Argentina
