Here is the debut demo release from a new project to keep your eyes and ears trained on: Äkth Gánahëth, from Iceland. This one-man band eschews the morbid dissonance currently prevalent in his home-country, instead summoning a raw, old school, sepulchral dungeon black. A brittle, shadowy, spectre – the nightmares of the nineties stalking our modern consciousness. Recorded in a fit of piqued inspiration following a Moonblood binge, this is the first demo from a project with a vision. There is already an additional track up on the artists Bandcamp alongside this ep, and he is in talks with the right labels to do justice to his project. One to follow.
