If you are having issues with Bong Sau in Chi sau, go back to practising it with one side against a simple punch. So, a force from the outside comes into your centre, so you need to defend. The person doing the punch has contact of the forearm and leans into the punch. Therefore, the person in Bong sau must sink to make the force flow down to the ground.
