I love my headplay HD’s but it is a little big. Sometimes I want to pack small and light. I have been wanting to mod in a video receiver to my fatshark base SD goggles for some time. A few months back a watched a review by Albert Kim on this $17 receiver that seemed pretty great even compared to immersionrc receivers.
His video review:
Here’s a comparison video
This is a super easy mod and is not very invasive. If you wanted to you could externally mount it and get away with one very small hole.
I haven’t done any long range outside tests, but I did do an inside test. Putting a 200mw vTX upstairs I went downstairs and even put my hand around the RX antenna. I got a very small line of interference. Will update once I do more testing.
