“Game-Changer” Osprey Fails Pentagon Test | China Working On World’s Smallest Tilt-Rotor Helicopter
A Pentagon test revealed significant issues with the CMV-22B Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft, leading to a rating of “Not Operationally Suitable”. The assessment comes at a time when the entire V-22 fleet remains grounded following a fatal crash of a US Air Force Osprey in November 2023. Tilt-rotor aircraft, including the Osprey, were once envisioned for various civil roles, such as point-to-point transportation and urban air mobility. However, with the recent challenges faced by the Osprey fleet, it is crucial to reassess their future and address the issues that have been identified. Watch this video to know more.
