CABARET TEREZIN. КАБАРЕ ТЕРЕЗИН

This production is based on the material written (and performed!) in Theresienstadt, or Terezin between 1942 and 1944. The artists perished. Their art survived. Performance on this video took place on the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Nazi concentration camps. . Book: Sergei Dreznin, Nina Chusova. Inspired by the show by Alexander Waechter. Directed by Nina Chusova. Sets and Costumes Evgenia Shvets. Choreography by Sofia Gaydukova and Sergei Filin With German subtitles. All lyrics, as well as some melodies, were written by the inmates of Theresienstadt: Ilse Weber, Leo Straus, Karel Svenk, Walter Lindenbaum, Kurt Hoffer, Teodor Otto Beer and others. Additional melodies were written by Sergei Dreznin and Gerhard Bronner in 1992-2000. With Miriam Sekhon (Ilse Weber), Maria Byork (Hanna), Ivan Novoselov (Tommy), Konstantin Sokolov (Karel Svenk), Denis Kotelnikov (Willy) and Anton Eldarov (Mendel).
