The village of Voskresenskoye, which was the Moscow street Gruzinsky Val in the 18th century, was donated by Peter II to the Georgian king Vakhtang VI for services to the Fatherland and allocated 10 thousand rubles for the development of the Georgian settlement. This is how the historical settlement of Georgians appeared in the capital. The settlement was inhabited by the Bagration dynasty - the descendants of the last Georgian king George XII.
On the odd side of the Gruzinsky shaft along the railway, warehouses and mechanical repair shops of the Moscow-Brest railway were built, and now it is NPO Krosna. Several non-residential one-story buildings at the beginning of the street were built in the revolutionary 1917.
Presnensky Val got its name in June 1922, and the street got its name from the Presnenskaya Zastava located in this area and the adjacent Kamer-Kollezhsky Val.
