Iblis Manifestations #11 No Sympathy for Fools w Mateusz Śmierzchalski (Havoc) Blindead, ex-Behemoth

On this week’s episode, we are pleased to welcome Mateusz Śmierzchalski from Blindead (ex-Behemoth) to Iblis Manifestations! Mateusz, also known as Havoc, is the guitarist and founder of the Polish musical group Blindead, as well as an ex member of the notorious Polish Black Metal outfit Behemoth. He also works as a guitar tech and a touring crew member for the likes of Emperor, Dimmu Borgir, Katatonia and others. We spoke about his experience of recovering from substance abuse and coming back into working with tours and being surrounded once again by the social life surrounding music, as well as his time in Behemoth during the early 00’s and his friendship with Adam “Nergal“ Darski. We also talked about my personal first impressions of Behemoth and discovering them back in Iran as a teenager, and specifically imitating Havoc’s style back then. Additionally, we got deep into the patterns of life and its meaning and how each action can lead to a butterfly effect that can change things forever.
