Who would have guessed that not only did this new means of locomotion reach the ballrooms – but that a Hamburg ballet master and professional dancers were involved in the process? The Speakers Birte Hoffmann-Cabenda Birte Hoffmann-Cabenda discovered her love for early dance in the mid-70ies, while still at school. She has been a member of the (Dolmetsch) historical dance society since 1979, holding a teaching certificate of this organization, and has decades of experience in researching and teaching dances of various eras.
