Bristronica 24: Circle Guitar - Rotating System

Anthony the inventor and Dan who demonstrated the innovative Circle Guitar, a MIDI programmable self-strumming guitar. The Circle Guitar is a unique instrument, combining technology with traditional guitar features, offering new ways to engage with guitar playing. The standout feature, a spinning wheel, is MIDI programmable allowing players to generate different sounds and textures rhythmically. Equipped with magnetised plectrums and a hexaphonic pickup for each string, it allows for individual string output and modulation. The strings’ audio outputs can be routed to a Eurorack or into software like Ableton for further sound manipulation. Anthony explained how the system accommodates different rhythmic patterns like 4/4, 3/4, and 5/4. The Circle Guitar is in pre-production, with plans for a player and a producer version, where the producer model will include a Juice-enabled app to control various settings.
