Visit Visit our website “Bread” (1960) is a color educational short film from Encyclopædia Britannica Films Inc. in collaboration with Dimitro Bourandas Ed.D. of Dearborn Public Schools. The film, which was approved by the American Institute of Baking, depicts how bread and other baked goods are made starting from the grain harvest to baking in the industrial ovens of a bakery - or in this case, the industrial baking facilities of Livonia, Michigan’s Awrey Bakery. Bakers in all white outfits, aprons transfer baking trays with bread tins into large oven (5:39).
