Israeli football fans clash with locals in Amsterdam, PM Netanyahu orders rescue flights
A violent brawl erupted in Amsterdam between supporters of Israeli football club Maccabi Tel Aviv and local youth supporting Ajax, leading to the arrest of 30 individuals.
According to reports, the clash stemmed from disagreements surrounding events in the Middle East, possibly sparked by the mishandling of a Palestinian flag by Israeli fans.
Following the incident, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered two rescue planes to be sent urgently to Amsterdam to assist Israeli citizens.
Amsterdam police escorted Israeli fans to hotels and cordoned off areas around the Johan Cruyff Arena.
