Netanyahu vows revenge for Lebanon rocket attack

Fears of all-out war between Hezbollah and Israel rose after at least 12 people, including children playing football, were killed in a rocket strike from Lebanon on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The attack on Saturday night was the deadliest on Israeli civilians since the October 7 massacre. Israel blamed Hezbollah, the Iran-backed Lebanese militant group, and vowed to strike back hard. On Sunday morning Israel’s military said that the air force had carried out a series of strikes on “Hezbollah terror targets” in Lebanon. Hezbollah denied that it was behind the attack, which came after months of cross-border violence.
