Blackest Swan (Black Swan Parody/Spoof)

Blackest Swan is a colorful, urban, comedic interpretation of Black Swan. Instead of New York City Ballet, we introduce to you a Crenshaw Community College Mash-up production of Swan Lake. Blackest Swan is the story of Nina Johnson’s struggle to prove herself black enough to dance the lead role in Crenshaw Community College’s final recital. Nina attempts to stand up to the intense pressure from her stage mom, while trying to handle her burgeoning crush for her Artistic Director, Thomas. Sexy vixen, Lily seems just black enough to steal the lead right from under Nina. And in the wings, poor Beth, a fifth year Community College student, is battling tourettes and the idea of letting go of her dance dreams. But there can be only one BLACKEST SWAN. Directed and Edited by Ashley T. Hughes, written produced by Ashley T. Hughes and Shannon Komai McClain, Director of Photography, Joel Tallbut. Starring Shannon Komai McClain as Nina, Rob Lambert as Thomas, Eddie Pepitone as Mother, Caryn Ward as Lily, N
