Mehrunes Dagon is the Daedric Prince of Destruction, Ambition and Change. His Oblivion realm is the Deadlands but his followers often claim that Nirn is also rightfully his to rule. Whether this is true or not, Dagon has tried to invade and conquer Nirn in the past and seems to be planning to do it again, this time using the Four Ambitions to merge Nirn with the Deadlands.
