The Jacobite Rising of 1745 in Scotland

In 1745 Bonnie Prince Charlie landed in Scotland to reclaim the British throne for his father. In the beginning he was very successful and could even invade England. However, the British forces crushed this rebellion and regained full control over Scotland after the Battle of Culloden.
