We recently had a show where I wanted to experiment with the idea of doing an electric project playing on a keyboard rig with drums. Everything here is done totally live. The main challenge is to play the bass lines in the left hand while keeping the melodic and harmonic information in the right hand between the various keyboard patches (electric piano and lead synth). This was sort of like splitting the brain in two: maintaining the interaction and groove with the drums in the left hand while shaping the melody/harmony in the right in sync with the left hand.
