Small Northern Territory town Lajamanu sent into lockdown

The community of Lajamanu, located around 500 kilometres southwest of Katherine in the Northern Territory, has entered lockdown. Lajamanu and surrounding homelands were placed into a stay-at-home order immediately after COVID-19 wastewater testing came back positive. The lockdown means residents can only leave their residence for five reasons, including medical treatment, essential goods and services, essential work, one hour of exercise, or to provide care to a family member.
