Sikinnis - for soprano saxophone and live electronics - Ben Carey/Mark Oliveiro

A new work of saxophone soloist and max/MSP that features motion tracking (webcam/jitter) and footpedal score following. As the soloist moves about the space fixed media triggered samples, phase vocoder processes, sinusoidal resynthesis and variable time delay effects suggest the various forms of music and dance featured in the Satyr play portion of the Dionysian festival.
