Maia Darme - Aquaharp (Animusic on a real harp)

Performed by Maia Darme () Music composed by Wayne Lytle for Animusic () Video by Kevin King Arrangement by Vee20 Animusic is an American company specializing in the 3D visualization of MIDI-based music. They produced three DVDs of computer-generated music videos featuring self-playing instruments. This is Aquaharp, one of their first pieces (written in 1999), played on a real harp. In the original Animusic video, an imaginary 26-stringed harp connected to pan flutes, tubular bells, a violin and a cello is played by levitating tear-shaped picks. The harp sits in the middle of a room filled with a foot of water and opened to the night sky. The lighting of the scene changes as underwater lights react to the music and water gently ripples in the background.
