The Intercept editor and Rising host Ryan Grim recently issued what seemed like an innocuous tweet which read, “If I were Xi I’d maybe rethink the Zero Covid thing.” Yet this banal observation led to a flurry of online vitriol, primarily coming from Grim’s own followers who apparently do not share his reservations about the efficacy of COVID lockdowns in China.
