With the 23rd pick in the 2000 NBA Draft, the Utah Jazz selected DeShawn Stevenson - a 19-year old out of Washington Union High School. Stevenson - the McDonald’s All-American slam dunk champion - would play 222 games in Utah before being traded in 2004 in exchange for Gordon Giricek.
