Second Silver Medal for Ukraine: Gymnast Oleg Verniaiev nearly dethroned Japan’s Kohei Uchimura

Third Olympic medal for Ukraine - and the second silver. Last night Gymnast Oleg Verniaiev has won the second silver medal for Ukrainian team in Rio-de-Janeiro. Verniaiev competed with Japanese opponent Kohei Uchimura, also known as “the king of gymnastics“. Having won this time as well, Uchimura showed the narrowest margin of victory. Oleh Verniaiev lost less than one point, finishing the second in the all-around event. Ukrainian’s failure to win gold may even have come down to a small hop on his dismo
