Self-Portrait Demo For Portrait Drawing Intensive Workshop, beginner/advanced - Dan Thompson

In coordination with the Oklahoma Art Guild, which commissioned this demonstration, and the Oklahoma Academy of Classical Art, this drawing tutorial will air as a YouTube Premier on June 2, 2020. Viewers are encouraged to “chat“ questions during the live broadcast. The video touches on basic facial landmarks and setting up for an instructive drawing. It then surveys some material concerns and procedural recommendations of developing a portrait drawing. Focusing on self-portraiture, the technical demonstration concludes with a discussion of tonality and hatch mark.
