English Quarterstaff: Zachary Wylde’s “Throwing the Guards” (1711)
“Throwing the Guards” with the quarterstaff, from Zachary Wylde’s English Master of Defence (published in 1711). A little bit of posing was added, inspired by Captain G. Sinclair of the Black Watch’s account of Wylde’s “salute with the five guards” exercise.
Thanks for watching!
