RCA BA-6A Limiter - Professor Dan’s Workbench

Today on Professor Dan’s Workbench is a freshly serviced RCA BA-6A. The RCA BA-6A is a highly desirable limiting amplifier from around the 1950s. Originally used in radio stations and recording studios, its vari-mu design is still sought after 70 years later. It is crazy how this limiter absolutely squashes transients in brickwall fashion. I have nicknamed it “The Troll“ because NONE SHALL PASS! Visit
