Toivo Topi Kärki and Reino Repe Helismaa. Maybe the most important pair in Finnish popular music in the late 40’s and 50’s. Kärki was composer and Helismaa songwriter, sometimes also singer.
Justeeri was one of those “bands“, which played their songs from huge collections. In fact, Justeeri was not a band, but famous singers Kauko Käyhkö’s alter ego. Maybe he used that name, because this kind of music was not serious enough. But people really loved it !
I hope owners of the rights want to see this as an honor to these artists, which it really is. And same goes to this lovely film about same topic, which I found from net. I had to cut it little bit, sorry.
My hope is that everyone can just listen to this fine musician. Enjoy!
It’s so nice, that you can still buy these recordings (I hope) on CD, mine is an old vinyl album, which you can hear !
