Tokyo DisneySea- Festival of Mystique Soundtrack (2019)
In 2019, Tokyo DisneySea debuted an all-new daytime Halloween harbor show that would replace The Villains World. This show was to be called “Festival of Mystique.” This show drew a lot of musical and theming inspiration from Porto Paradiso Water Carnival, even using the show’s theme “Listen to the Sea.”
In 2020 it was cancelled due to Covid and it was cancelled once again in 2021 due to the late start of Tokyo DisneySea’s 20th anniversary. Had it returned this year, it would’ve be a short Halloween version of the limited time Mickey and Friends harbor greeting. Hopefully next year the show will return, this is very likely since the barges have been chilling out backstage in the dry dock.
*Update: As of April 14, 2022, it was revealed that the the barges had starting going through the process of being dismantled which implies that the show will not be returning for a second season.
The Story:
Mickey and his friends decide to revive the old Halloween festival that Porto Paradiso used to throw many years ago. During the festivities, 3 evil Sea Witches cast a spell on everyone and release spirits from the sea to try and bring back the banished King of the Sea.
