I try not to disappoint Cinestra while piloting his Tymna Kraum brew into a pod filled with its worst match ups. What is Spikey Spirit Guides? SSG is a Magic series where I feature competitive commander decks with their brewers/designers by interviewing them, learning some of the thinking behind the deck’s design, and playing a game with the brewer as my mentor. It’s not fair I get a spirit guide though! To balance the match we play the deck into its worst matchup, ideally piloted by their own designers.
