The Llibre Vermell de Montserrat (Red Book of Montserrat / Livre vermeil de Montserrat) is a manuscript of devotianal texts, including songs, for pilgrims written in Catalan, Occitan and Latin. Some of the works clearly predate the era the collected works were published. The Llibre Vermell de Montserrat songs are among Early Music’s most recorded works.
