What you will also see in the slow-mo is that point karate in the 1960s did not prepare you for defense. You’ll see Wren getting punched in the face with his hands completely extended away, like in kata, rather than cover the target, like in boxing. To add to this historical fight, for some strange reason, there are three referees. Maybe it was a three-round point fight? I don’t know who the second guy is but Mike Stone is first and Ed Parker is third.
