With both teams cancelling each other out for the first half an hour, it took a smart move by Jerome Wright to dink FC into the lead. After more clever work by the Reds on the wing, a cross found the towering Adam Jones to double United’s lead. Nathan Joynes reduced the lead a couple of minutes later, but that was the Steels last decent effort. Just before the hour yet another smooth one-two found Greg Daniels with just the keeper to beat and he didn’t disappoint. United stay third.
