The show relied on amusing stock footage clips and Hawthorne’s patented droll, gag-laced, dry narration. This one shows footage from an early silent comedy movie of a barbershop, (:50) footage of dachshunds dogs on parade, (1:16) clowns entertaining a crowd in a park by mock wrestling and other antics. At (2:06) a hill climb motorcycle race is shown followed by sped up footage of a group of people dancing the Charleston at a crazy contest (2:50).
