Mons Veneris - As Garras do Velho Escrito (single, 2022)

I am very proud to present an advance stream from forthcoming Signal Rex release, of progenitors of the Portuguese raw occultist scene, Mons Veneris. Ghoulish demoncy, delirous chant, ritual possession, seductive horror, and black magick incantation ooze like ectoplasmic tar from the corrupted form of Mons Veneris in this advance track, heralding their forthcoming full length, Inversados d’Um Abismo de Podridão (Inverses of an Abyss of Rot) As Garras do Velho Escrito (The Claws of Old Writing) does as the name suggests – out from the mystic fog of the first half comes are gnarled, scrawling series of riffs carving intensifying mantra and sigil into bone; harsh and brittle ancient rites purposefully composed into tangible powers. Signal Rex will release the album on September 11th. The vinyl version will follow later this year.
