An EASY, FOOLPROOF method:
Freehanded shooting floor peekdowns, requiring no doors.
They connect aesthetically and cheaply to any base (none of that hideous widegap-buildback), though can also be used with external TCs.

I don’t know who invented this idea originally. I saw the square version of it, had a triangle base that I wanted to fit a lopsided square in, couldn’t find a method for that anywhere, so I came up with one.
Then I added all the other methods and thoughts on the matter into a full tutorial good for any builder of any level.
A NOTE ON TERRAIN:
This method will work great if terrain is even, or if your buildout goes towards lower terrain.
IF, however, you have to place the freehanded square on a large upwards slope or significantly higher terrain than the rest of the base, sometimes it’ll be a bit too close to the base to work, and you’ll have to actually take a few little steps forward instead of 1 tiny step back.
I’m sure you’ll figure it out.
Much Love!
