Ghapama Recipe - Armenian Stuffed Pumpkin

Ghapama, An Easy and Cheap Recipe for Autumn, Thanksgiving and Halloween: Ingredients 1 pumpkin (5 lbs) 1 cup rice 4 tablespoons melted butter 1/2 cup raisins 1 /2 cup dried apricots 1 /2 cup prunes 1/2 cup walnuts or peanuts 2 tablespoons honey 1 tablespoon salt 1 teaspoon black pepper 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon Preparation 1. Cut off the top of the pumpkin and scoop out the guts. 2. Slice the prunes and dried apricots. 3. Boil a cup of rice with 2 cups of water and a spoonful of salt . When the rice is half cooked, pour it into a strainer. 4. Inside a large bowl, add rice, walnuts/peanuts, prunes, dried apricots, raisins, cinnamon, salt, pepper, butter and honey. Then mix it all together. 5. Pour a spoonful of honey into the pumpkin and add the rice mix. 6. Brush the pumpkin with a little butter. 7. Bake the pumpkin in the oven at 450° for one hour. 8. Take the pumpkin out of the oven. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then slice
