SLAMMED/SWAMPED

SLAMMED/SWAMPED If you are slammed with work or at work you have more work to do than you can cope with. The same goes for swamped with work. -I have to make a call after I finish my work. You know what? Um…just don’t let anybody in my office under any conditions today. I’m just too busy, too swamped, you know? I’m unreachable. I’m incommunicado, capisce? Incommunicado - not able, wanting, or allowed to communicate with other people. Capeesh - do you understand? -All right. Shall we? -You know what, I’m really slammed trying to catch up on everything here. -And I know that Michael’s slammed too. So maybe we should do this when things are a little less crazy. -It’s just a couple more days. He needs my help. You said you were gonna be swamped with work anyway.
