“This was intended to be just a little ghost story. It was longer than I like songs to be and I thought it had several other minor flaws that would make it just another run of the mill filk song. I was therefore unprepared for the positive reception the song got both in its first performance and over time. At this point there may be as many as a dozen parodies in existance, several of which are on tape.
