Petra Creamer. Распад Ассирийской империи от городов к окраинам

Dr. Petra Creamer (Emory University) The Collapse of the Assyrian Empire from City to Countryside In the Assyrian imperial Heartland, evidence for the “post-Assyrian“ period (c. 612-323 BCE) is rare, with most of our archaeological and historical knowledge coming from the main city centers of the empire that were impacted most during the Median/Babylonian invasions. In this talk, I take an alternative track in investigating the collapse of the Assyrian Empire in 612 BCE, prioritizing data from outside of Assyrian cities to assess the continuity of imperial institutions and explore the impact of collapse on the Assyrian core.
