Martian Gem with glassy green allure discovered by NASA’s Perseverance Mars Rover

Perseverance rover on Mars has revealed a remarkable discovery of a green olivine-like rock with a glassy structure. The term “glassy structure“ refers to a texture resembling glass, suggesting intense wind and rapid cooling on Mars. The rover’s sophisticated instruments, such as SHERLOC WATSON and the Mars Environmental Monitoring Station (MEDA), provided empirical data of intense weathering on Red Planet. Perseverance rover polished martian rock and found unique mineral formation. Green-colored rock with a glassy structure, reminiscent of olivine, buried beneath a layer of Martian sand.
