1943 Gibson L-00 played by Joe Robinson

Joe Robinson plays his original tune “Royal Flush“ on a 1943 Gibson L-00. Gibson’s first steps into the world of flattops began in the 1920’s with the L-series, and in 1931, the L-00 was introduced. A very light and lively ’40s L-00, this example has the classic “punchy“ midrange and bite. This example features a thin-waisted body with a war-time neck, a substantial round “C“ with no truss rod, and script logo. The guitar’s history of repairs includes: repaired back crack, repaired treble side rim crack, replaced pickguard, neck set, refret, and a plugged screw hole on the neck heel. The guitar has also been oversprayed and there is an unplugged hole above the end pin.
